FAQ - Adjustments
Why must I enter a date for the adjustment?
Based on the adjustment date, the software categorizes the adjustment information into the corresponding period or month. This categorization facilitates, among other things, the processing of government remittances.
Following the migration to EVO, I need to correct a payroll that was originally processed in SigaFinance Classic. How can I make this correction?
Since adjustments can be entered as positive (to add amounts) or negative (to correct, cancel, or delete) amounts, the user can make a negative adjustment to "delete" the payroll. The original payroll will still be present in the Payroll Summary, but the adjustment will adjust the annual total for this employee. It is also possible to delete payrolls coming from SigaFinance Classic via the Payroll List.
In what situations should I use Adjustments?
Adjustments can be useful to:
•correct vacation pay processed as regular wages
•correct improper use of pay types
•correct accrued vacation during a retroactive indemnity rate change
•correct the display of information on Relevé 1 and T4 slips.
